1. Adults only
Ally is only for people aged 18 or older. Misrepresenting age or helping a minor access the service is prohibited. If you suspect that an account belongs to a minor, report it immediately in the app or at safety@dearally.app.
2. Conduct we do not allow
- Harassment, stalking, threats, hate, discrimination, intimidation, coercion, violence, or encouragement of self-harm.
- Fraud, romance scams, financial solicitation, impersonation, catfishing, spam, trafficking, or commercial sexual exploitation.
- Sharing another person’s private contact details, credentials, private messages, intimate information, or exact personal location without permission.
- Non-consensual sexual content, sexual harassment, image-based abuse, unwanted explicit material, or attempts to pressure someone into sexual activity.
- Content or behavior that is illegal, deceptive, infringes rights, or creates a credible risk to a person or the service.
3. Child sexual abuse and exploitation
Ally has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion, sexualization of minors, trafficking, and any attempt to obtain sexual content from a minor are prohibited.
We remove prohibited material, preserve relevant evidence where lawful, disable involved accounts, and report to the competent authorities and child-safety organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children where applicable. Never download, forward, or redistribute suspected material in order to report it; report the account and context instead.

4. Report and block
Use the Report or Block control on a matched profile or opportunity whenever available. Blocking prevents future matching and contact through Ally. Reports can cover safety, harassment, impersonation, spam, or another concern.
For an urgent report, email safety@dearally.app with the account or opportunity identifier, what happened, when it happened, and any supporting context you can safely provide. Do not send passwords or unnecessary intimate material.
5. Notice of illegal content in the EU
Anyone may notify us of content they believe is illegal in the European Union by emailing safety@dearally.app. A sufficiently precise notice should identify the content or account, explain why it is illegal, provide its location or identifier, include your name and email unless a protected exception applies, and contain a good-faith statement that the information is accurate.
We acknowledge and assess notices in a timely, diligent, objective, and non-arbitrary manner. Where required, we explain the resulting moderation decision and available appeal options.
6. Appeals
If Ally removes content, restricts visibility, or suspends an account, the affected user may appeal by writing to safety@dearally.app with the decision reference and reasons for reconsideration. A person not involved in the original decision will review the appeal when practicable.
7. Meeting someone in person
- Meet in a public place, arrange your own transport, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
- Keep early dates short enough to leave comfortably and do not rely on the other person for transport, money, accommodation, or medication.
- Protect financial, identity, home, work, and contact information until trust is established.
- Leave if you feel pressured or unsafe. Consent must be informed, specific, freely given, and can be withdrawn at any time.
- In an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services. Ally is not an emergency service and does not continuously monitor conversations.
