1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms form an agreement between you and James VANHECKE, operator of Ally. By creating an account or using Ally, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a contract, and permitted to use dating services where you live. You may not use Ally if you have been removed for safety reasons or are prohibited from doing so by law.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information, including your age, identity, location area, and relationship intentions, and keep it reasonably current.
- Keep your credentials secure and tell support@dearally.app promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Use one personal account and do not impersonate another person, create deceptive profiles, or transfer access to someone else.
- You are responsible for activity under your account until you report compromise or the account is deleted.
3. What Ally does
Ally helps you describe yourself and your preferences, identifies potential compatibility, presents opportunities, and may suggest dates, times, venues, and conversation guidance. Some features require a paid plan, a compatible device, connected services, or permission from you.
Ally cannot guarantee a match, attraction, response, safe interaction, venue availability, booking, or successful relationship. A date proposal is not a reservation unless the app clearly confirms a booking. Always verify critical logistics.
4. AI assistance and your choice
Ally uses artificial intelligence. Generated text, summaries, classifications, compatibility scores, and venue suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete and are provided as decision support, not professional, medical, legal, or emergency advice.
The final choice to reveal a match, give an opportunity a chance, accept or reject a proposal, share information, or meet someone remains yours. Do not rely on Ally as a substitute for your own judgment and normal dating-safety precautions.
5. Conduct and prohibited use
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, exploit, defraud, manipulate, or impersonate anyone.
- Do not upload illegal, hateful, violent, deceptive, infringing, non-consensual intimate, or sexually exploitative content.
- Any child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, sextortion, sexualization of minors, or child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited.
- Do not scrape profiles, reverse engineer private systems, bypass access controls, automate account activity, introduce malware, or use Ally for advertising, recruitment, trafficking, or commercial solicitation.
- Do not attempt to obtain or expose another person’s private contact information, exact personal location, credentials, private chats, or private preferences.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Ally a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transform, analyze, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This license ends when the content and account are deleted, subject to lawful retention and backups.
You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, image rights, intellectual property, or safety.
7. Moderation, reports, and enforcement
You can report and block users. We may investigate, limit visibility, remove content, suspend or delete accounts, preserve evidence, or notify authorities when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms or protect people.
Where required, we provide reasons and an appeal channel. Serious or repeated violations may lead to immediate action without advance notice. See the Community & Safety Standards for reporting and appeal details.
8. Trial, subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Ally may offer Ally Free and Ally Active. If a free trial is shown at checkout, its length, eligibility, price after the trial, billing period, and renewal terms will be displayed before you confirm. Unless cancelled, an Ally Active subscription renews automatically through your Apple App Store or Google Play account at the price shown at purchase, subject to any lawful price-change notice.
Manage or cancel the subscription in the same store account used to purchase it. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting Ally or deleting your account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. Refunds are administered by the store, except where mandatory law gives you additional rights.
Promotional or founding prices may be limited by eligibility, region, purchase date, and the offer displayed in the store. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including applicable withdrawal, cancellation, and conformity rights.
9. Third-party services
Apple, Google, Facebook, calendar providers, maps, venues, RevenueCat, and other third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. Ally is not responsible for their independent services, outages, venue information, or decisions. Disconnecting a service may limit related features.
10. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using Ally and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, risk to users, fraud, unlawful conduct, or operational necessity. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and a way to appeal.
Sections that by nature should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property, safety evidence, disclaimers, and dispute provisions, remain effective.
11. Service availability and liability
Ally is provided with reasonable care and skill, but availability may be interrupted and AI output may contain errors. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted service, a particular match, or a specific dating outcome.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer protections. Subject to those protections, Ally is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for another user’s independent conduct. Users remain responsible for their interactions online and in person.
12. Governing law, disputes, and changes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections and courts available under the law of your habitual residence. Please contact legal@dearally.app first so we can try to resolve a concern.
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, technical, or product changes. Material changes will be notified before they apply. Continuing to use Ally after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms; if you disagree, stop using the service and delete your account.
